Sinus infection, URI, or flu? (ONLY CHOSE ENDOCRINOLOGY

Customer Question

Sinus infection, URI, or flu? (ONLY CHOSE ENDOCRINOLOGY BECAUSE ENT WAS NOT AN OPTION)Symptoms (all beginning today):
- scratchy throat (not really sore - just really irritated)
- postnasal drip
- pressure/pain in temples, forehead, between eyes, ears
- nothing comes out when I blow my nose - but if I "hack" it up (usually in the shower), it's brownish/yellow
- no cough, unless a lot of pleghm/drainage builds up in the back of my throat
- fever since right after 12 noon CST; highest was 99.7; has fluctuated between 98.8 and 99.7
- kind of achy and stiff (not nearly as bad as with the flu, but still aching)
- have taken 600mg of Motrin around 5:45pm CST
- just took my nightly meds: Pristiq (50mg), Doxepin (100mg), and Lunesta (6mg)

Hi there ...

Please tell me have you been tested for antibodies level in your body ?

Have you had your MRI sinuses ?

Regards .

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No to both questions. No fever today. Very congested in sinuses, sore/scratchy throat, headache, ears full. Started with these splotches on my arms about an hour ago. They are flat and do not itch at all.

Thanks for info and uploading picture ...

These rashes are typical of viral infection .

And sinuses issue , sinus pressure , drainage along with other symptoms with rashes are suggestive of active respiratory viral infection .

It would be ideal for you to have good hydration , Tab Ibuprofen 400 mg three times a day for 5 days along with steam inhalation and saline gargles .

Meanwhile you should get test for IgE antibodies level .

MRI of sinuses are mandatory .

Please proceed as as I advised you .

Good luck .

Please rate my answer as good service .

Thanks .
