This is Dr. David
it is tough to treat a burn on your back by yourself
it is hard to look at and hard to dress the wound yourself
best to see a doctor and get an evaluation of your wound
you will benefit from visiting nurses to your home to help with wound care and wound evaluation
you might need prescription burn creams like 1% silver sulfalazine or Silvadine ointment to help cover the area and protect the wound to prevent infection. Neosporin over the counter can also be used as well
you might need Telfa non stick dressings to cover the wound and paper tape to make sure the Telfa dressings stay on.
you need to increase the protein and vitamin C in your diet to help your body create more collagen and scar tissue in the area to replace the damaged skin and tissue
