Angioedema is swelling that is similar to hives from an allergic reaction, but the swelling is under the skin instead of on the surface
angioedema may also occur after infections or with other illnesses and with viral infections or even drug reactions.
Medications which can help angioedema include antihistamines (benadryl), anti-inflammatory medicines (corticosteroids)
some people have recovery of angioedema in a day or two, for others it takes longer.
if your angioedema continues, you should see an allergy doctor and see if you need skin allergy testing.
