I have blood when I go to the bathroom and my burps smell

Customer Question

Customer: I have blood when I go to the bathroom and my burps smell like feces. The blood has been there for a few months now and th burps have happened since I was 16, but, only lasted for a bout a week. It's been two and half months now though...
JA: Thanks. Can you give me any more details about your issue?
Customer: I don't eat the same thing everyday, so ,I don't think it's what I'm eating.
JA: OK got it. Last thing — JustAnswer charges a fee (generally around $34) to post your type of question to Medical Experts (you only pay if satisfied). There are a couple customers ahead of you. Are you willing to wait a bit?

There are a lot of potential reasons for this.

One common cause is acid reflux or sinus issues.

If you have either of those, then medicine for both will help

Also, it could be something in your body like liver issues.

I would also consider a bowel obstruction as feces can back up in the body and do this.

The best course of actions is

1)get in to a doctor.

2)get an exam and history to check for allergies or acid reflux

3)get blood tests for liver disease

4)xray of the belly to look for obstruction
