Customer Question

On 17 December I had a cardiac catheterization which resulted in 2 stents being inserted. As a result, I am now taking on a daily basis: Metoprolol, 1 & 1/2 25 MG tablets; Effient, 5 MG, one tablet; low dose aspirin, 81 MG. In the evening I take one 40 MG Pravastatin table. While taking all of this, is it safe to take either Tylenol, Advil, or Aleve for normal pain relief, more specifically for pain caused by a tooth ache until I can get to a dentist?

This is Dr. David

better to take tylenol than advil or aleve which can increase risks for bleeding.

limit your tylenol to less than 3000mg in a 24 hour period if your liver is healthy.

do see a dentist right away

rinse your mouth out with salt water regularly
