This is Dr Basu, experienced Internal Medicine Specialist.
I am here to address your concerns and provide great service.

If painless, then they can be from past viral infection.

That is the most common cause.

However, there is also risk of lymphoma.

Slow growing lymphoma is often with excellent progonsis but can present like this.

Hence you do need to see a oncologist for further evaluation.

This is Dr. David

I am an an oncologist.

the chances of a lymphoma is one in a million odds.

lymphoma would cause these lymph nodes to grow and grow in size over two months.

99.99% of all lymph nodes which are felt in the neck are benign reactive lymph nodes

just being able to feel a lymph node does not mean it is cancerous or dangerous.

I bet an ultrasound of your neck will show benign lymph nodes

normal lymph nodes are between 1-2.5cm in size and rubbery and mobile.

local inflammation like a sore throat, runny nose, sinus infection, allergies, acid reflux can all cause benign reactive lymph nodes

Hi but I have two other lymph nodes on the other side of my body that are swollen. One under my right arm and the one in my groin area.. I haven't been sick in nearly a year. And they have grown..

your lymph nodes swell up to help keep you healthy

if you are worried about these nodes, go see your doctor and get the nodes examined and an ultrasound

but I bet the ultrasound will not show cancer and show only normal lymph nodes.
