Customer Question

I'm having chest tightness, shortness of breath, and tingling down my arms and hands. Palpations are occurring as well. Symptoms will sometimes disappear briefly then reappear, this is been going on for over 4 hours? Is this just an anxiety issue or have I been dealing with a heart attack. I chewed an aspirin regardless not seeming to help much

Hi there,

This is Dr Basu, experienced Internal Medicine Specialist.

I am here to address your concerns and provide great service.

At your age heart disease is rare since you do not have any existing heart condition I assume.

Anxiety and panic attacks can produse exactly same symptoms.

Hence, you should not worry too much.

Just relax and you can take an anti anxiety medication if you have been prescribed before.

You should still see a doctor for clinical evaluation and help you calm your nerves if symptoms getting better of you.

Best wishes,
