I'm a stage 3 thyroid cancer survivor lymph node invasion so

Customer Question

Hi Dr. David,
I'm Leslie
I'm a stage 3 thyroid cancer survivor
lymph node invasion so those were removed
But I am 10 years cancer free
However, I got cellulitis in my right arm this past June that put me immediately in the critical care unit and now my blood work is all off (folic acid, vitamin b, d)
And the side of my hair is falling out
Prescription vitamin d, injection b. What could cause this and will my hair come back?

This is Dr. David

I am sorry you got cellulitis.

I am a cancer doctor who treats thyroid cancer patients.

have you had your T3, T4, TSH levels checked? abnormal thyroid hormone levels can cause hair loss

low iron or low ferritin levels can cause hair loss.

recent trauma or stress can cause hair loss.

inflammation of your bowel or stomach or colon can cause poor absorption of nutrients

do you have bowel inflammation?
