I am sorry about your son.

depression can cause aches and pains in the body as well.

certain anti-depression medications like cymbalta can help decrease depression related aches and pains in the body.

you should bring your son to see a doctor and get assessed for his aches and pains and check for signs of depression which have to be treated.

his symptoms of fatigue can be from low thyroid hormone levels, or low B12 or low iron or low vitamin D levels. these all should be checked.

at his age, some viral infections like mononucleosis caused by epstein barr virus can cause fatigue and aches and pains and enlarged lymph nodes which are tender as well. there are blood tests to check for mononucleosis viral infection.

does he have a doctor you can bring him to to check these issues and get blood testing?
