have you had a sleep study?

Expert:  Dr. David replied 1 year ago.

This is Dr. David

long term use of clonazapam can increase risks for dependancy on clonazepam and when you try to stop or taper off of the clonazepam, this can lead to worsening anxiety and worse sleep.

there are not a lot of good long term studies of patients who use marijuana long term regularly.

long term use of marijuana can increase your risk for lung cancer and elevation of blood pressure and heart rate.

if your psychiatrist is prescribing you medical marijuana and clonazepam and thinks it is ok, then that is fine that a doctor is monitoring these issues.

bring your wife in at your next psychiatrist meeting and have your wife talk to your doctor if she has concerns

if you use these medications to help you sleep, and they work for you, and you know the risks for long term use of these medications, then that is fine.

do you have any other questions?

Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 1 year ago.

There is no doubt about it that you need a sleep study

you could have PLMD (periodic limb movement disorder) or sleep apnea.

That is the next step
