Hello from JustAnswer.

Could you attach the lab report after blacking out your name?

Has any other diagnostic tests been done?

I asked for some further information and have not heard back.

A serum protein electrophoresis that shows an abnormal band of protein or paraprotein could be MGUS, but there is much more of an evaluation that would need to be done to make that diagnosis. There should be tests to assure that there is no other pathology associated with the abnormal protein, and particularly certain metabolic blood tests, tests of the bone, such as a bone scan, and bone marrow aspiration and biopsy. If the additional tests do not identify any other pathology associated with the abnormal protein, then that would indicate that the abnormal protein would be due to MGUS.

If I can provide any clarification, please let me know.
