Hi there,

This is Dr Basu, experienced Internal Medicine Specialist.

I am here to address your concerns and provide great service.

This is considered moderately high blood pressure.

If no symptoms like chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness, headache, then this is considered hypetensive urgency.

Hypertensive urgency is a potential risk factor for heart attack, kidney failure, stroke if not addressed properly.

If any of the above symptoms is experienced then this is called hypertensive emergency --will require urgent medical attention.

Now, you are known hypertensive, you should take your pills as prescribed now and check your blood pressure within 30 minutes.

If you are not on any medication, then it is better to go to the ER for further evaluation.

Best wishes,

It was my pleasure to help you today.
