I have been treated pain 6 years now, I just found out that

Customer Question

I have been treated for chronic pain for almost 6 years now, I just found out that I'm pregnant and my friend told me my pain doctor probably won't treat me anymore. I am nervous about dealing with the pain on a daily basis. Obviously I don't want to hurt my baby, but dealing with the pain on my own every day has me scared. Is it true that they won't see me anymore?

What medications are you on?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I take 10/325 hydrocodone I am also prescribed flexural 5mg I don't frequently take the muscle relaxer though because it makes me extremely tired, I have 2 other children and work 6 days a week and don't have time to lay around after taking them but, I do take the hydrocodone

are you going to try and wean off? these are bad for the baby

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
That's what I planned on doing, I was just worried they would stop seeing me immediately which I assume that if I stop taking them all at once, would also be bad

Just be honest. They will respond. Tell them your goal is to get off but you need guidance.
