My 70 year ole husband had gallbladder surgery approximately

Customer Question

My 70 year ole husband had gallbladder surgery approximately 48 hours ago and still cannot empty his bladder. He feels that he has to go to the bathroom but only does a very small amount and is extremely uncomfortable. Is this from the anesthesia and will it last long?

Hello,

a symp***** *****ke this is not a normal consequence of the surgery and can be caused by an acute bladder- or prostate-problem. Therefore please contact the medical emergency service or visit the ambulance of the hospital. This will the only way to help your husband soon.
