My question is about the physicosis that can accompany meth

Customer Question

My question is about the physicosis that can accompany meth use. i was told by a local md specializing in addiction therpy for 22 years that "my distress and paranoia would reduce to normal levels within {+/-} 24 hours. Admittedly, my recovery is subject to peroidic relaps so I have no long term sobriety to speak from. Still, each time that my sobriety begins in ernest, the phyciosis continues to varieing degrees.
So Doctor, my question is "are there any free or low cost resources such as support groups, online dicussion groups or treatments, mental health or otherwise?

As far now, there are no proven pharmacological therapies for methamphetamine addiction and cognitive behavioral interventions can be the best alternative. As you rightly said, Methamphetamine recovery support groups give a significant help in long term drug free recovery.
