I have what I think is a tender lymph node in my left

Customer Question

I have what I think is a tender lymph node in my left pectoral. When pressure is put on my chest, I feel discomfort more on that side that the right side. Honestly, this has been like this for a couple years, but didn't realize it was tenderness from a lymph node. I've had physicals, blood tests, chest x-rays since and nothing was ever said. Still, a little worried about it.

Hi there ...

Please tell me do you have tenderness on pressing the area ?

Any redness , swelling on that area ?

Regards .

Hello

Based on your exams this is probably benign.

However, new tenderness, as you say you have, should warrant another exam.

Bad signs are increasing size and non movable.

Otherwise it is likely benign.

Tenderness on the chest in general is more likely muscular.

No redness or swelling (seems like the same size on both sides).

Without examining you , that means nothing.

Nodes do not often cause redness or swelling.

What you are describing it not likely do to the node if it has not changed.

Hello ...

Thanks for info ...

Expert:  Dr. Abid replied 1 year ago.

I am Dr Abid and I have asked you about Tenderness ,

As you mentioned you have no swelling or redness , and your investigations like X ray , blood test shown nothing significant but still you have tenderness in Pectoral area , one thing that is left behind is the nerve issue and pinched nerve in Thoraccic spine could be the least possibility of your tenderness in that area .

I will suggest you to have MRI Thoracic spine to rule out any spine related issue being reason of such tenderness in the presence of normal blood test and X rays .

Regards ***** ***** luck .

Please leave positive feedback for me .

Thanks .
