I will occasionally experience an intense throbbing diffuse

Customer Question

I will occasionally experience an intense throbbing diffuse pain in my upper back (and sometimes radiating into my neck), usually following mild exertion (climbing a flight of stairs, etc). It seems to pulse in time with my heart rate. It usually lasts for only 30 seconds or less, but the pain takes my breath away and sometimes my upper body litterally bounces with the beat. It happens only rarely - and certainly NOT following all times of exertion. Anything to be concerned about?

Yes, absolutely this is concerning

In a 58 year old female, this is heart disease until proven otherwise

You really need a stress test
