Customer Question

I have had drenching night sweats since May. They began when we were in France. I am not menopausal (well beyond it) and have had a thing test to rule it out. No one seems to know what is causing this. I completely change clothes and blankets three to four times a night. My bedroom is not over heated

you need to go on anticoagulation to help thin the blood

this thrombosis could be causing your sweats.

are you on anticoagulation?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The clot dissipated, likely due to drugs given when I hemorrhaged. I am on propranolol and spironolactone, currently. Liver is compensate at present.
Expert:  Dr. David replied 1 year ago.

I don't understand what "liver is compensate" means. do you mean your liver is injured?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It's right out of my Mayo record. It's damaged, the upper frontal lobe is dead. I think it means that I haven't gotten worse since my first visit at Mayo in June. I've been examined on August and have another visit on December. On the meantime, I'm being seen at Unm because they are relatively local...I live in Santa Fe.

I see.

dead liver of the upper frontal lobe will definitely cause you to have night sweats.

Great. Thanks. I've never been ill in my life. Never been hospitalized except to have children, natural births. This is a whole new world toe and it's grim. My husband is a nuclear med doc (fellow in the American Academy of Radiogy) and is trying his best to get answers.
