Customer Question

My dad has had stomach pain for the last couple of days and now has a goofball size hernia sticking out above his belly button. He is 56 years old. Does this warrant a visit to the emergency room?

I think that he should be seen soon by a general surgeon to asses this and perhaps he may need a surgical repair. It should not need a visit to the ER unless something more is going on I think however. If he has abdominal pain so severe to interfere with sleep then he may go to the ER .

I hope that this is helpful for you! Let me know if you have further questions. I will be happy to get back with you! If my answers have been helpful and to your satisfaction then please remember to leave positive feedback. Thank You and Best Regards!
