has she been tested for celiac disease?

has she had hemoglobin electrophoresis done to check for things like thalassemia?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
She (age 34) has not been tested for celiacs. She has been dx'd with Crohn's by her GP, but has not been down to Phoenix to see a gastro doctor yet. She has always had some type of gastro issue, since about 12 months of age. In her early 20's she was dx'd with ulcerative colitis. She has always been "anemic". It became worse, as expected, after gastric bypass (6 yrs ago). It is continuing get lower and lower. She once worked (2010-2013) for the Dean of Nursing at Medical College of GA. They did the hemoglobin electrophoresis during that time, with no clear indication as to underlying cause.

Sorry about the late reply

I'm shocked no one has tested for celiac especially in someone with bowel issues

I have had patients with ZERO bowel symptoms and just iron deficiency anemia and they have celiac.

I bet that is her diagnosis. Get celiac antibodies done ASAP
