This is Dr Basu, experienced Internal Medicine Specialist.
I am here to address your concerns and provide great service.
Most likely you sustained spinal fracture from the fall.
The fracture can be at the tailbone level or just above from the impact.
Spinal fracture can affect the nerves and even the spinal cord.
THis can cause jaw pain and swelling as well.
Also left sided kidney injury is another possibility from the fall.
That can cause swelling as well.
However blood in the urine also should have been present.
You do need a clinical evaluation in the ER or with your doctor and a spine scan as well.
Conservative treatment with pain management, rest and spine support are considered first.
However if there is any displaced fracture then surgical repair also will be required.
It was my pleasure to help you today.
