Customer Question

I've had diarrhea and hurt so bad in my joint, It's like the flue. This has been going on since February. Been to the Dr. She gave me antibiotics 2 times. I've done many of natural things like colon cleanse. Went on a fast for a week. Cut out gluten, dairy. If I eat it goes through me in about 20 to 15 min. But the pain in my neck, back joints is awful. I drink plenty of water. Was a very healthly girl till this hit. I'm 52 yrs old

This is Dr. David

if you have had antibiotic therapy, you could have a c diff or clostridium difficile infection of your bowels which can cause bad continuous infections after antibiotic therapy.

you need to see a doctor to get stool testing to check for c diff toxin your stools

if you have this bad bacterial infection, there are treatments with flagyl and vancomyacin which can help clear out this infection which can cause diarrhea.

you need stool testing for blood

taking too much advil can cause bleeding from your stomach

make sure you take advil with food in your stomach and with plenty of water.

you should go to the ER to get your stools tested

and you need blood test to check for dehydration

persistent watery diarrhea can dehydrate you.

I've had my stool sent off they said nothing was wrong. Could they have just made a mistake in the testing?

are you having watery diarrhea?

or soft stools or loose stools?

you could have bowel allergies to gluten wheat protein or milk lactose which can cause loose stools

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Stool is water and foamie and it looks like I threw a bunch of chopped grass clipping in it.
I've already gone glutinous free and dairy free. Didn't work!

you need to see a GI doctor to get a colonoscopy to check for colitis bowel inflammation.

have you had a colonoscopy yet?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No I haven't. The reason I haven't is my sister has all the same sickness. It came on her the same time it hit me!
