Customer Question

My tongue has been yellow for about four weeks now. I went to the doctor all my blood work came back normal. I have bad taste on the bottom of my tongue. I've been brushing with peroxide goes away then re-appears. Any takes on what it may be?

Hi there,
This is Dr Basu, Experienced Specialist.
I am here to address your concerns and provide great service.
I understand your concerns.
It is good your liver test was normal.
The most likely possibility can be due to the excess carotene intake causing yellow discoloration.
Carotenes are found in carrots, apples, apricots, beans, broccoli, cabbage, butter, cheese etc. and other vegetables.
This is usually a harmless condition.
Disappears on reducing vegetable intake but not necessary.
Other possibilities include diabetes, hypothyroidism, and kidney disease.
Please make sure your blood tests included all these conditions.
Thank you for sharing your concerns with us today. If you have any additional questions or need further clarifications, please do not hesitate to ask. I am here to answer them. I wish you good health. Regards, ***** *****
