Hello, this is Dr. David. I have read your question and I'm ready to help.
laxatives pull water from the blood system to go into the bowels to help move your bowels
if you are not drinking a lot of water, there may not be enough fluids in your blood to help move your bowels
you might need to use stronger laxatives like 1/2-1/4 cup of magnesium citrate to help get your bowels moving
you might also need to use a fleet enema or fleet suppository to help
you might need a doctor or nurse to help with finger disimpaction to get hard stools to start moving from the bottom.
are you drinking enough water?
you might need to double your dose of milk of magnesia and use it twice a day and add on a enema
have you ever used a fleet enema before?
