My daughter bought a pair of running shorts made in china.

Customer Question

My daughter bought a pair of running shorts made in china.
The label on them says 100 percent polyester and the product contains lead and may be harmful if eaten, swallowed or when comes in contact with the skin or ingested. should we not let her wear these for safety reasons?

Hi there.
Thank you for your question.
I will be helping you out with your queries.
Well, depends on the amount of lead.
Usually the lead in shoes is very small in quantity and it is not harmful and she can wear these shoes safely.
So I would not worry and let her wear them, unless she is allergic to the leather of the shoes or lead.
Let me know if you have more questions.

its shorts, not shoes

Sorry about that.
But my answer essentially remains the same even in case of shorts i.e. the lead in the shorts would be in extremely small quantities to be of any concern and there is nothing to worry about.
Again apologize for misreading.
Let me know if you have more questions.
Kind regards
