Dr. D.J. :

Given your age and family history the tisk may be between 1 to 10%.

Dr. D.J. :

Please remember not all polyps are cancerous.

Dr. D.J. :

So, the risk of cancer although slightly increased, is still considered low since you do not have any other polyps.

Actually they also found ten polyps size 3mm and 5 mm in the rectum, a 6mm in the hepatic flexure, a 6 mm in the splenic flexure and a 6mm in the ascending colon. All of them were removed except the sessile

Customer:

Did you get my last comment?

Customer:

Dr. D.J. :

Dr. D.J. :

Ok that changes the risk factor a bit.

Dr. D.J. :

This is also known as polyposis syndrome --a precancerous condition.

Dr. D.J. :

In this case, your risk increases to 20-30%.

Dr. D.J. :

Biopsy result is important to follow.

Customer:

How long would it take to get the biopsy done?. I have not been able to talk to my doctor about this

Dr. D.J. :

Dr. D.J. :

sometimes earlier.

Customer:

Dr. D.J. :
