Is it possible to catch diseases from porcine grafts?
Hello from ja
Thanks for requesting me.
No, currently these are denatured, purified and made hypoallergenic.
There has been no incidence of any transmissible disease from a porcine graft.

I assume this is for a hernia.
Or a valve.

A hernia of sorts - rectocele and cystocele.

No problem.
No transmissible disease from these.

What I am trying to figure out is can human like tissue, or perhaps it would be human tissue, be grown from human dna without it actually being a allograft? I know burn victims might get a skin transplant, but currently is human tissue being used that was cultivated in a petri dish?

There are in fact such products.
They are far more expensive.
Talk to your surgeon about these.
It is not human tissue exactly, but human like.
