I have no medical conditions and I am not " overweight". I am 5'2" and weigh 132 tonight after my dinner and two 16 oz glasses of unsweetened tea. I was just wondering how long it took the food and drink to digest to reflect true weight. I am trying to get back to 115 and I have an official weigh in every Wednesday. I started out at 139.5 a couple of weeks ago.
Dear Lori, Thanks for providing quick additional information.
I understand your concern.

Considering your height of 5'2" and weigh 132, Body mass index (BMI)comes to be 24.1
Body mass index (BMI) is measure of body fat based on height and weight.

BMI Categories are-
-Normal weight = 18.5-24.9
-Overweight = 25-29.9
-Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater.

Your BMI is 24.1 and it comes in normal range. You are in perfect health.

Checking your weight after eating a salty meal can show scale changes.
Also, Undigested food can temporarily add weight. Undigested food needs to be broken down properly by your gastrointestinal system.

You can wait till morning, and then again re-check to get true body weight. Ideally it is advised, to check true body weight in morning.
Considering the fact, about your dinner and beverages, it would take up to 12 hours to get it digest completely.

You can re-check your weight after 12 hours, then it would reflect true weight.

I hope this helps.

Please let me know how I can be of further assistance.
My goal is to provide you with excellent service – if you feel you have gotten anything less, please reply back, I am happy to address follow-up questions.
