I began taking around 18 months ago blood pressure medication

This answer was rated:

I began taking around 18 months ago blood pressure medication Amlodipine-Benazepril 10-40. My last checkup was about 3 months ago and all was fine. I just refilled my prescription and the Pharmacy said the Dr.'s office called in refills of 10-20 mg instead of the 10-40. It is after hours and I have no way to ask why he changed it or perhaps it was a mixup. The pharmacy can only say it was what was called in this time. My question is should I be ok till Monday when the Dr. Office is open again taking what I assume is just a lower dosage of 10-20?

Hello, this is Dr. David. I have read your question and I'm ready to help.

I would get the amlodipine-denazepril 10-20 for now and call your doctor on monday and ask why they changed it and see if it was a mistake.

it should be ok to control your blood pressure for the short period of time.
