MY DAUGHTER IS 3YEARS AND HAS SOME DEVELOPMENTAL DELAYS. WHAT IS HYPOTONIA? wHAT DOES "NOT HYPER=INFLATED' MEAN? ALSO NO Harrisons Suici? What is that?

Thanks

Dr. Cameron :

hello

Dr. Cameron :

Hypotonia means that the muscles are weaker than usual or have less tone

Dr. Cameron :

Not hyperinflated- I imagine was in reference to a lung or chest xray

Dr. Cameron :

This means that the lungs are not overly inflated (which is not normal). You do not want hyperinflated lungs- it means there is too much air

Dr. Cameron :

No Harrisons Sulci. This is also in reference to a chest xray. Harrison's sulcus refers to a groove at the lower end of the ribcage seen in young children / infants with abnormally weak bones- such as rickets or chronic respiratory disease- such as asthma. THe findings of Harrison's sulci is not normal. So the fact that she does NOT have it is good
