I have blood in my stool and dripping blood into the toilet

This answer was rated:

I have blood in my stool and dripping blood into the toilet when I have a bowel movement.
WHat do you suggest ?
You need a colonoscopy
At age 50 and on cancer needs to be ruled out.

It can be hemorrhoids, which is the most common reason, but dripping blood implies more bleeding, which can be due to diverticulosis, polyps or even cancer.

I suggest that your doctor refer you to a gastroenterlogist, because you
do need a scope
