Hi. Dr Rick here. I completed an Internal medicine internship in NYC and have two decades of clinical experience. How can I assist you today?
Are you having any other symptoms?
Do you have any medical problems or take any medication?
How long has this been going on for?
No other symptoms.
No medications, its been going for a week
Are you still there?
Well, There are many conditions that can cause you to be this thirsty.
The only way to figure them out would be to have a complete exam by an doctor. I would suggest giving your primary care MD a call this morning and trying to get in today if at all possible.
If you continue to drink too much water it can dilute the electrolytes (sodium, potassium etc) in your blood and cause dangerous problem with organs such as your brain and heart just to name a few.
It's one of those things that are so complicated to discover, so if yu say or think so, I think I wll make my way out to see a doctor.
I think that is an excellent idea.
I hope this information was helpful for you. But I do work for tips so I want to make sure you are happy with me before rating me. If you have another question on this or a related issue feel free to fire away. You may also receive an email survey after our chat, if you don’t feel that I have earned a “10” rating in all areas, please let me know what I can do to meet your expectations. Thanks in advance, Dr. Rick MD FACS
