This answer was rated:

Hey, when I strain I can see rectal mucosal tissue. When I sit on the toilet and gravity is in its favor, it breaks even with the edge of the anus. I have had anal sex many times, I never noticed it until recently. Is it worth worrying about?

Dr. Rick, MD :

Hi. Dr Rick here. I completed an Internal medicine internship in NYC and have two decades of clinical experience. How can I assist you today?

Dr. Rick, MD :

What do you mean that it breaks? Does it tear and bleed?

Dr. Rick, MD :

Do you engage in anal sex via fisting or using objects a lot larger then a penis?

Customer:

Nothing bigger than a penis.
no tearing or bleeding that I can notice.
Ive been a little sore deeper inside that the sphincter for a day or 2, maybe 2 or 3 times

Dr. Rick, MD :

Ok. I believe what you are seeing are hemorrhoids...they can look like mucosa.

Customer:

I mean that when i strain hard in the mirror, its moves out until it is even with the anal opening

Dr. Rick, MD :

Since you are not having any pain, bleeding or any other problems I do not fell you have anything to worry about.

Dr. Rick, MD :

That is OK. This can happen when straining. Nothing to worry about.

Customer:

ok thank you. much appreciated.

Dr. Rick, MD :

Do you use adequate lube at all times during your anal sex?

Dr. Rick, MD :

I would just make sure to be well lubed.....

Dr. Rick, MD :

Does this make sense to you?

Customer:

yes. the more the merrier.

Customer:

one last thing

Dr. Rick, MD :

Ok. Good. And, as a father and a doctor, I have to throw in my two cents for safe sex with a condom ;-)

Dr. Rick, MD :

ok

Customer:

i have heard hemmroids hurt

Customer:

haha ok thanks

Dr. Rick, MD :

Not always....I have them and I almost never know they are there.

Dr. Rick, MD :

and they should not cause problems with penile/anal sex.

Customer:

ok. that covers it all. thank you

Dr. Rick, MD :

Is there anything else I can help you with this evening?

Dr. Rick, MD :

My pleasure. Have a good night.
