Have you consulted your physician about this?
Have you been tried on a medicine like tetracycline or docycycline?
And when you say you take spironolactone twice a week I assume that is for your acne, is this correct?
No on the other two medications. No Retin-A
Yes, for acne. Tried more often but skin got really dry.
I wonder how I can help you here online today since you are under the care of a dermatologist already.
Do you have a specific question for me?
you probably understand your problem and how they are approaching it
But I'm not sure how I can help
Have you expressed your frustration with your dermatologist?
How long have you been under his/her care?
I guess I was just looking for another perspective. I will contact my dermatologist again.
how long have you been with this dermatologist?
also, do you have a good, easy to read reference on acne?
A year or so.
is your dermatologist calling this skin condition 'acne'??
THIS IS A GOOD PLACE TO START
THIS IS A LITTLE MORE INVOLVED
I'm not sure if this has been helpful
I hope it has
I think you need to have a good sit-down with the dermatologist and express your frustrations
there are other treatments out there
and there may be good reasons they have not bene tried in your case
but the conversation needs to take place
in an honest fashion
doctors, if they are good ones, do not fear, and often appreciate this kind of interaction
I am standing by if you have any final questions for me
No more questions. Thank you. I will call and schedule an appt. now.
