I received a shot in neck at tulane med center to prepare for

This answer was rated:

I received a shot in neck at tulane med center to prepare for a head and neck scan, then the intern who gave me the shot said oops that was a mistake, you have to get this another way, later they found a mass in the thyroid, and then after a few month, some nodules were found, since the attitude of the intern was truly hateful, and I complained about it previously, I am afraid that that shot may be what gave me those nodules, now I have to go to tulane to do a biopsy and I'm very scared of that place, the attitude in general was very bad!

Hi there,
I am Mysticdoc, experienced Internal Medicine Specialist.
I am here to help you with your concerns.
I understand your concern.
The thyroid nodules are not caused by the dye or contrast used for CT scan.
Thyroid mass is also not related to the injected dye.
It is very unfortunate however, that mistake happened.
Tulane is a decent place, and you can always request for an experienced MD to do the test for you.
You have the right to decline the intern or resident participation in your care.
You can also go to a different medical center for peace of mind.
But, usually, these episodes rarely happen and should not happen to you again.

Best wishes,
