Hi, I have recently had a spinal fusion. I also have Hashimoto's for the past twenty years. Since having my surgery I have had a racing heart over 110bpm at rest; low BP; dizziness; tachycardia, innapropriate anxieties / no reason; hot sweats; blurred vision; noise and light sensitivity; brain fog and bouts of depression. Do you think the surgery / anaesthetics may have caused problems with my thyroid? I have just heard of Hashitoxicosis and that inflammation can be a trigger / I'm sure I have a lot of inflammation from the surgery. What are you professional thoughts? Many thanks, Kylie
Hi, If it is Hashitoxicosis, do I need to check the antibodies? I was under the impression that thyroid levels can come back normal, but the antibodies in particular TSI would be high? Thanks
Hi, after surgery my thyroid levels have come back within normal reference range, which is why I was asking about Hasitoxicosis (symptoms of under / with bursts of over) rather than Hashimoto's. I have always been hypo with my Hashimotos, but most of my symptoms are hyper now. My thyroid is swollen and sore too. Can my levels be normal and still causing these smyptoms? thanks
