Hi there,

I am Mysticdoc, experienced Internal Medicine Specialist.

Mysticdoc :

Heavy staph growth can sometimes lead to infection to you and also in your household ( especially elderly and children).

Customer:

Ok, and using bactroban wouldn't make it MRSA right?

Mysticdoc :

Hence it is a good idea to decolonize with bactroban

Mysticdoc :

no it will not.

Mysticdoc :

in fact it will clear up all the staph.

Customer:

Should I do anything different while on bactroban?

Customer:

Should I not use moisturizer or make up? And throw everything away?

Mysticdoc :

it is better to replace your make ups.

Mysticdoc :

you can use moisturizer without problem.

Customer:

how about pillow case? Should I wash everyday while on bactroban?

Mysticdoc :

yes you should.

Mysticdoc :

do not need to wash every day

Mysticdoc :

if you see any stain or every week will be fine

Customer:

i've had a runny nose for a couple weeks now, i usually have allergies, does this mean i've spread it to my throat?

Mysticdoc :

usually staph does not stay in the throat for long for some reason.

Mysticdoc :

they tend to colonize in the nasal mucosa.

Mysticdoc :

bactroban will still take care of it.

Customer:

are there any other precautions i should take?

Mysticdoc :

wash your hands

Customer:

I mean I share a bathroom with my brother...

Customer:

Shower and toilet

Mysticdoc :

do not share personal hygiene products for a week.

Mysticdoc :

that is all.

Mysticdoc :

not a problem for normal persons.

Customer:

he was sleeping in a couch i slept in

Mysticdoc :

except for elderly and kids

Customer:

oh no he is 20 yrs old

Mysticdoc :

ok no problem

Customer:

how can i get my immunities up?

Customer:

i did a blood test and it said my wbc was 3.7

Customer:

it was the only thing of

Customer:

off*

Mysticdoc :

that is not bad although on lower side

Mysticdoc :

some individuals have it for hereditary reasons.

Mysticdoc :

eat healthy, exercise daily.

Mysticdoc :

take vaccines as recommended

Mysticdoc :

that is all.

Customer:

sorry one more thing...i get yeast infections often, related to staph?

Mysticdoc :

no separate issue

Mysticdoc :

probiotics, yogurt may help to prevent yeast infections and also boost immunity.

Mysticdoc :

phillip's colon health is a good probiotic

Customer:

yeah, they recommended probiotics, i just didn't know which one to take

Customer:

i don't like yogurt at all...

Customer:

is that a general probiotic?

Mysticdoc :

phillip's colon health has all the good strains of probiotic yo need.

Customer:

and they sell it in cvs?

Customer:

or somewhere else?

Mysticdoc :

Mysticdoc :

Best wishes,
