Medical Questions? Ask a Doctor Online!
I am online and happy to help you with your question today.
It is not unusual for a deep bruise to change color and size over time. This is normal.
That being said, let me ask you a few questions:
Is this area painful?Does the skin over this area seem abnormal?
how long has it been present?
Do you have any medical problems or take any medications? Specifically, are you on blood thinners?
Good Morning and welcome to chat.
No blood thiners Amlophine for Hyperternsion 5mg per day
Ok. How long has this spot been present?
about 5 days, i dont remember hitting my leg that hard, and it is located in the inner tibia, i think near knee
at first it felt warm no pain
From what you have posted, I do not think you have anything to worry about. It sounds to me like a deep bruise that has worked itself up to the surface and is now in the process of being "cleaned up" by your body.
Why is it there? That is the million dollar question. Many times it is not from any trauma or anything you did....a small blood vessel might have just broke. It happens.
Nothing to worry about. But, if you are still concerned, it wouldn't hurt to have your GP take a look at on Monday.
Does this make sense to you?
