GFR 55 suggests moderate decrease in kidney function.
At your age the GFr should be above 90.
Dehydration is the common cause of decreased kidney function.
Also uncontrolled blood pressure can affect your kidneys.
This is difficult to ay without further studies.
You need a kidney ultrasound to see any kidney disease.
Please do not panic
Most of the time, the kidney function improves with adequate fluids and BP control ( should be below 130/80).
Hence, you need to see a kidney specialist.
And the blood tests should be repeated to verify the accuracy.
