Our 23 year old daughter has been experiencing stomach pain, acid reflux, and diarhea over the last 8 months. She went to an urgent care once and they prescribed liquid antacid with a painkiller added. It relieved the symptoms, but the problem still re-occurs fairly frequently. She went to her regular doctor who ordered blood tests... nothing crazy other than low iron and very low Vitamin D. She is taking iron and vitamin D supplements and drinking a lot more milk. She works as an EMT in a major city and is exposed to a lot, plus eats out a lot. One person suggested salmonella as a possibility. She has another appointment with a different doctor tomorrow. She is wondering about a food allergy, but hasn't been able to find a link with what she eats and the symptoms. When this happens, almost everything seems to bother her and she has to run to the bathroom frequently. Any suggestions?
