Why would my doctor order blood tests when I've been suffering from headaches for the past two weeks and have been on antibiotics for one week?

HelloOf course we can not second guess your doctor.Do you know which tests were ordered?
Comp Metabolic panel
CBC w/ Diff Plt
OKSe rate to look, at the level of inflammation. The CMP checks kidneys, liver, gallbladder and diabetes as well as electrolytes..CBC with diff is a blood count. These are routine labs...they are ordered sometimes if you have not had them in a while. So for example, anemia would be ruled out with CBC.There is no direct reason you had to have these labs for your current symptoms.
