Hi there- My 23 year old male nephew has been very sick over the last year, lost weight, vomits blood and bile, constantly cold and has hot baths and showers to keep warm, he does not have appetite and has been waiting for the NZ GP system to assist him. He is a father of two little girls and I am concerned that he has not been for medical tests to determine the causes and treatment of his illness. He has lost a sister to bone cancer and another sister has had breast cancer, I am afraid that he may have a similar predicament. He has had sore throats and also is very pale in colour.THANKS FOR YOUR HELP
Optional Information: Person's Gender: Male Person's Age: 23 Already Tried: GP and no response yet-
Greetings,How long the symptoms are there? Was any test done? Is there any significant past illness?Regards.
HI There, The symptoms have been present since August 2011. No tests have been ordered yet from the public health system. I think he has been sick but no one has taken much notice.
Thank you for the input. With vomiting of blood, bile & weight loss he should have an urgent evaluation. He should seek an examination in hospital. Blood loss can cause anemia, fall of blood pressure. There can be different causes.for it. It can vary from simple ulcer in stomach to a growth or cancer, varices in the esophagus & others. He should have thorough evaluation & tests. If you have any query, please feel free to ask.It will be my privilege to assist you. Regards.
Thanks very much
