RickMD :

I am online and happy to help you with your question today.

RickMD :

are you having any abnormal bleeding or abdominal pain?

RickMD :

Just to make sure I understand what is going on with this lump.....does it move around on it's own or is just something that you can feel with your hands and move?

Customer:

it moves on its own.

RickMD :

is it painful?

Customer:

no pain.

RickMD :

Ok. That is good. Do you have any other symptoms such as changes in your bowl movements etc? Also, how large would you say this mass is? Baseball? grape? Orange?

Customer:

probably a medium sized lemon. No changes in bowel movements.

RickMD :

Ok. Well, it is not really in the correct location to be related to your fibroids as your uterus is deeper in your pelvis and wouldn't be expected to freely move upward toward your navel. That being said, it would probably be a good idea to see either your primary care MD or your ob/gyn so that more can be learned about this mass.

Customer:

Thanks.

RickMD :

What will they do? For sure a physical exam; perhaps they can feel it

RickMD :

Or they may do an ultrasound or MRI....all depends

RickMD :

does this make sense to you?

Customer:

Yes.

RickMD :

Ok. If you have a chance let me know how things turn out.

I was just thinking about you and wondering if you have had chance to figure out what was causing that mass in your abdomen. I hope everything is going ok.
