Withdrawal from co-codamol would be from the opiate component. There are many possible symptoms associated with opiate withdrawal, but common symptoms include fatigue, headache, anxiety, irritability, sweating, runny nose, abdominal pain, muscle spasms, nausea, or vomiting.

Would these symptoms include diorreah and a bad tummy? Is there anything I can take to ease these symptoms?
Expert:  Dr. D. Love replied 4 years ago.
Yes, diarrhea also can happen with withdrawal. There are limited options available over the counter to help ease opiate withdrawal symptoms. Imodium can be taken to help with the diarrhea. An antihistamine, such as Benadryl, may help with runny nose and is also somewhat sedating. Tylenol, ibuprofen, or naproxen can be used for relief of pain.

How long will this last? I have been suffering for a couple of weeks now. Is this usual?
Expert:  Dr. D. Love replied 4 years ago.
The usual duration of symptoms for withdrawal from this opiate is 7-10 days, so 2 weeks is longer than is typical. It still could be withdrawal, but at this point, it would be appropriate to be seen to assure that there is no other condition present.
