Can you describe this "fecal" odor more detailed? Also have you started eating any new foods or taking any new medications around the time this began?
i can take a shower go to work or to a place where i dont know someone and start to have this smell coming from my body i can faintly smell it and when around others i notice they rub their noses and cough i sometimes hear comments like "oh it smells like s**t or did someone fart. i have not tried any new foods and have started to eat healthier. i also have not taken any medications (dont take any).
Do you use deodorant/antipersprant?
and do you sweat easily?
yes i use antipersperant i do sweat when i get hot or nervous (which has been a lot lately) but the antipersperant i use works well and i didnt have any problems before this started happening
Now first off before I get to a more sensitive topic. There is an antiperspirant called Certain-Dri which is basically liquid aluminum chloride. It is available online and in some stores let me find you the product link. This you don't use on a daily basis, but over time it will literally stop you from sweating from underneath your arms. After enough time you can literally work out and you won't sweat from there. After you've used it for a while you don't need to continue to use it as often.
Believe me, i sweat like crazy and during highschool mostly underarm and thus smelled, I used this and only now every so often need to reapply and i barely sweat from under my arms. (I have more to talk about with you) but let me get that product link
i dont feel that my under arms are the problem i can work all day and take a whiff and theirs not a bad smell coming from that area
Ok - either way it is http://www.certaindri.com/Pages/CD_Home
now the other option would be psychiatric - please bear with me.
Some people experience mild psychoses (not saying schizophrenia here) but it is more prevalent than a layperson would believe. The fact that you are noticing people rubbing their noses and saying things may very well be true but it may also be you working this up over your heightened concern. Whether this concern is real or not doesn't matter at this point. The best way to deal with this and work through your anxiety would be with a psychotherapist or a psychiatrist. i usually default recommending to a psychiatrist as they can prescribe medications. Also regarding working up a potential odor issue I'd refer you to a dermatologist. That way we are tackling the problem from both angles... a potential real source and the way you are dealing with it as it certainly does seem to cause you anxiety
ok that sounds like good advice so should i just try to find a doctor in my area
Look on line or call your GP and ask them
I highly suggest seeing BOTH a dermatologist and a psychiatrist
ok that sounds good thank you
I know you probably didn't like that I mentioned the psychiatrist because unfortunately the thought of anything mental has a stigma in our society.
