What exactly was going on with your ear that required drainage?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
Judo class at college led to swelling, tenderness, erythema, pain of upper ear = "early" or "pre" cauliflower ear.

You weren't put on antibiotics? Any drainage still?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
Yes, several days of antibiotics. I removed 4 stitches from upper lid of ear at 7 days & they're healed. Never was any drainage. Still swollen & tender, so maybe some fluid re-accumulation but online sites say there should be compression, but I don't understand what I can rig around my ear that will give a mild constant compression.

Well, except for an ACE bandage to tighly hold a dressing in place, there is no special technique for that. That said, you need to have the doctor look at this again because you may need drainage this time to prevent cartilage damage.
