Customer Question

I woke up this morning, my upper back area shoulder blades and above were very heavy with pain. I could not raise my left arm without great pain shooting through my back. The pain has subsided a little but my back pain is still there. It radiates from the back to the left side and I have pressure in my chest area on the same left side. Should I get xrays done?

Optional Information:
Gender: Female
Age: 45

Already Tried:
Massage the back area with hot rub.

Hello,
Welcome to justanswer and thank you for your question.

Numbness in left arm?
Pain in abdomen?
Nausea?
Any past medical issue?
Are you overweight?

Customer replied 558 days and 5 hours ago.

No numbness in left arm, just felt very heavy.

No pain in abdomen either or nausea.

Neck injury is the only past medical issue and I am considered overweight.

Pain in between shoulder blades can occur due to gall bladder disease.
Other possibility is- Nerve compression or muscle pull.
A clinical examination and tests should be done for diagnosis.
Chest x-ray, EKG should be done. After clinical examination doctor may advise for ultrasound of abdomen.
For the time, take Motrin 400mg twice a day.
I advise that you should not delay and get it evaluated urgently in ER.
