Greetings. Since your period is controlled by the rise and fall of hormones which cause the inside of your uterus to break down, there really isn't any way to control this using over the counter medications. Some women do not get their period during periods of starvation, severe stress, or severe illness because stress hormones can interfere with the normal hormone levels in your body.

Aside from using the pill, some other options such as Depo-Provera (given as an injection in your doctor's office) or Intrauterine Devices (IUDs) with hormones in them often allow women to have very light periods or skip them entirely.

How can I get up do this in 24 hours

Unfortunately, if your period is scheduled to start in 24 hours, even starting the pill today would probably not keep it from coming entirely. Using anti-inflammatory medications such as ibuprofen (advil, motrin) or naproxen (aleve) around the clock as directed can significantly reduce the amount of bleeding that women get during their period, however.
