The difference between prolapse & hemorrhoid can be difficult to determine from history alone.

If it is partial thickness or only involving mucosa of a small part of the wall then it can be confused as hemorrhoid.

However hemorrhoid is more common than prolapse.

If it appears to all around the anus then it is likely to be a prolapse.

I would advise to get it checked by doctor though there is no bleeding or other symptoms.

I hope this information helps.

I will be happy to assist, if you need any clarification.
