Dr PG (M.D.) :

the common causes of bruising are minor trauma (scratching, brushing against a chair/table etc

Customer:

I have had no impact, rubbing against items ect

Dr PG (M.D.) :

ok

Customer:

It started the size of a marble an now the size of a baseball which is what mainly is causing my concern

Dr PG (M.D.) :

ok

Customer:

This is within a 2 week period

Dr PG (M.D.) :

when did it start?

Dr PG (M.D.) :

ok

Dr PG (M.D.) :

any other part of the body that has bruising?

Customer:

Only meds I take are Carvedilol, and Hydrocodone

Customer:

no

Dr PG (M.D.) :

ook

Dr PG (M.D.) :

the other possibilities for bruising are any bleeding disorders, hemophilia (blood clotting disorder), liver disease etc

Dr PG (M.D.) :

but in these cases there should be more than one bruise on the body

Dr PG (M.D.) :

the kind of minor trauma that I was talking about, is usually not very noticable by the patient

Customer:

Any possible chance a side effect from surgery, even though its been 2 months ago

Customer:

This is a very noticeable bruise

Dr PG (M.D.) :

are you on bed rest or mobile?

Customer:

back surgery L5 and I walk a lot

Customer:

New bone had not healed as of 2 weeks ago though

Dr PG (M.D.) :

ok

Customer:

Other than the medicince, I am a smoker, very rarily drink, and I feel healthy... friend said can also be cause from having cancer

Dr PG (M.D.) :

Is the bruise skin colored?

Customer:

Yea somewhat.. Mostly a dark reddish with splotches

Dr PG (M.D.) :

Is it raised of at skin level ?

Dr PG (M.D.) :

ok

Customer:

Not raised from what I can tell

Customer:

No itch, and no pain.. However always warm to the touch

Customer:

That is warmer than outside the area of the bruise

Dr PG (M.D.) :

ok

Dr PG (M.D.) :

From your description I would have to say that this appears to be a skin bruise

Dr PG (M.D.) :

The likely cause for the same could be related to a medicine side-effect

Dr PG (M.D.) :

or a bleeding tendency due to different reasons

Dr PG (M.D.) :

I would certainly recommend an early medical evaluation for the same

Dr PG (M.D.) :

Skin cancer is unlikely in this situation, though a doctor's opinion should be able to confirm this
